Nowadays, the Royal Chitwan National Park can be easily visited on all kinds of budgets, and does not require one to possess an adventure oriented mind. A typical day inside the park. Includes early morning jungle walks, elephant rides, dog-out canoe rides and sunset walks. The evening can be spent visiting a Tharu village, where you get a rare opportunity to witness a traditional Tharu dance.
If spotting a
tiger still remains a rare experience, other animals, such as the one-horned rhinoceros,
sloth bears, different types dear, monkeys and even fresh-water dolphins, are often and
easily seen. The river banks are home to different alligator species such as the 7 m long
gharial. Turtles are also found here. Other than the monsoon months (July to September), a visit to the Chitwan National Park is possible at any time of the year. Access to the area is easy as it can be reached by plane or by bus from any one of Nepal's main cities. It's even possible to raft down the Trisuli or Kali Gandaki rivers. The Chitwan National Park provides an escape from the polluted atmosphere and the noise of the big cities, and is a great place to relax in and experience something different a strenuous trek. Programs: Our program during your stay at our camp has been designed in such a way so as to make your stay enjoyable but exciting at the same time. However, viewing of wildlife at their best require early morning and late afternoon excursions which is a matter beyond our control, and guests are advised to comply to the schedule for their own advantage.

BY SURFACE: A pleasant five hour drive by car or bus on the Kathmandu- Narayanghat highway follows the Trisuli River offering you a continually changing landscape from the mountains of the Himalayas to the plains of the Terai. BY RAFT: One of the most exciting ways to travel to the Park is to raft down the Trisuli River. For two or more days you can float down the river experiencing its numerous rapids and seeing a variety of village life, flora and fauna along its banks. BY AIR: A half-hour flight will bring you from Kathmandu to Bharatpur where you will be met by our staff and driven to the resorts. Binoculars Flashlight Insect repellent, swim-wear, sunhat and sun-guard. Casual and comfortable clothes and shoes for easy movement while on Safaris. We suggest that the colour of your cloths should blend with the natural surroundings. During the winter months, November to February, sweaters and jackets are necessary in the morning and evening. |
