Hari Dev Pathak is a co-founder of Trekking Team Pvt. Ltd., the family-run trekking and adventure travel company he started in Kathmandu in 1991 with his brothers Ram Sharan and Shyam Krishna Pathak. He has spent more than three decades organising treks, expeditions and tours across Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan, and writes here about routes, permits, seasons and the practical side of travelling in the Himalaya.
