Sona Sherpa

Sona was born and raised in the Khumbu, the valley beneath Everest, where entire villages live and work in the shadow of 8,000-metre peaks. Like many young men from the region he tried other professions first, but the mountains pulled him back. He has since summited multiple 8,000-metre peaks, including Everest, Manaslu, and Shishapangma, and he is our leading expert on the peaks below 7,000 metres: Mera Peak, Island Peak, Lobuche, Pisang Peak, and many others.
