Arrival in Kathmandu

Your adventure begins as you arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal’s bustling capital. After an airport pickup, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in the vibrant Thamel district. Today is a relaxing day where you’ll have time to settle in, meet your guide, and receive a thorough trek briefing. You’ll also check your gear and ensure your trekking permits are in order. Day 2

Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

Spend the day exploring the cultural heritage of Kathmandu. Visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Prepare for the trek and meet with the team for final preparations.

Trek from Sotikhola to Maccha Khola

Day 5

Trek from Maccha Khola to Jagat

Today, you’ll begin the trek by following the Budi Gandaki River through dense forests and small, welcoming villages. As you cross suspension bridges and climb up terraced hillsides, the natural beauty of the region starts to unfold before your eyes. The trail is well-marked and takes around 6-7 hours, giving you plenty of time to take in the lush landscapes, hear the calls of birds, and observe daily life in the small villages. You’ll arrive in Jagat, a charming village where you’ll spend the night in a local teahouse.

Trek from Jagat to Deng

The trail today takes you deeper into the heart of the Manaslu region. As you trek for 6-7 hours, you’ll pass through several small villages and lush terraced hillsides, crossing suspension bridges over the river. The views grow more breathtaking as you venture further along the Budi Gandaki river valley. Upon reaching Deng, you’ll be surrounded by the serene beauty of the region. The evening is perfect for relaxing in the quiet teahouse and reflecting on the journey so far.

Day 7

Trek from Deng to Namrung

Today’s trek takes you through a more Buddhist-influenced region, with mani walls (prayer walls) and chortens (Buddhist shrines) lining the route. The forests change as you gain elevation, with rhododendron trees and alpine flora making their appearance. After trekking for 6-7 hours, you’ll arrive in Namrung, a village surrounded by breathtaking views of Manaslu and other nearby peaks. Here, you’ll spend the night in a comfortable teahouse, with the mountains towering over you.

Trek from Namrung to Samagaon

Today’s trek is shorter, but no less impressive. As you continue your trek through beautiful landscapes with glaciers in sight, you’ll pass through the village of Shyala, where you’ll be treated to some of the most majestic views of the mountains. In 4-5 hours, you’ll reach Samagaun, a remote village that sits beneath the towering Manaslu peak. The village offers a perfect resting point for the night.

Samagaon to Pungyen Gompa, Return to Samagaon

Trek from Samagaon to Samdo

Today, you’ll take a short trek to Samdo, a Tibetan-influenced village near the Tibetan border. The trek is about 3-4 hours long, giving you plenty of time to admire the views of the Manaslu range and soak in the Tibetan culture of the region. The village of Samdo offers spectacular mountain views and a quiet atmosphere, perfect for resting and preparing for the next phase of the trek.

Acclimatization Hike or Rest Day

In Samdo, you’ll have another rest day to adjust to the altitude. You can take an optional hike to Samdo Ridge (4,500m) for panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings and prepare for crossing the Larke Pass. This is an important day for acclimatization, so take it easy and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Samdo.

Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala/Larkya Base Camp

Today’s trek takes you to Dharamsala, the final stop before crossing Larke Pass. It’s a 4-5 hour trek through rugged terrain, and the altitude will begin to feel more intense. Dharamsala offers the last opportunity to rest and prepare for the challenging crossing of Larke Pass the next day. The evening will be spent in a teahouse, mentally preparing for the adventure ahead.

Trek from Dharamsala to Bimthang via Larkya La Pass

This is the day you’ve been waiting for! Crossing Larke Pass at 5,160m is a challenge, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. Starting early, you’ll tackle the pass, with breathtaking views of Manaslu, Himalchuli, and Ngadi Chuli. After crossing the pass, you’ll descend to Bimthang for a well-deserved rest. The entire trek will take 8-9 hours, but the beauty of the region will make the effort worthwhile.

Trek from Bimthang to Tilije
